Norfolk based fabric producer Nicole Fabre had an open evening at her new showroom in Fulham's Gasworks and I fell in love with this beautiful pink and green geometric design by American fabric designer Carolina Irving.  It's got my kitchen written all over it #oneday

the septic tank is in - oh the glamour

It is very possibly the least glamorous bit of our build, but I found myself strangely hypnotised by the sheer size of the vast septic tank and the equally enormous hole that was dug to sink it into.  With the tank in, the plumbers set to work on laying a maze of pipes for the waterworks and the builders have begun adding a plasterboard curve to the rooms with high ceilings.  All of a sudden, the Barn is well on its way to becoming a fully fledged house, complete with back door.  October is just around the corner - are we going to make it in on time??!
